COMMAND CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT TREVER J. SLATER

Chief Master Sergeant Trever J. Slater serves as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 110th Attack Wing, Battle Creek, MI. He advises the Commander on matters influencing the health, morale, and welfare of assigned enlisted personnel and their families.

Chief Slater was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is a graduate of Lakewood High School in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Chief Slater enlisted in the Air National Guard in 1993 as an engineering apprentice at the Battle Creek ANGB. In 1995 Chief Slater transferred to the fire protection career field within the 110th Civil Engineer Squadron and stayed there until 2002. In 1998 Chief Slater became a trooper with the Michigan State Police, during his career he has served as a uniform trooper, detective trooper, and is currently a detective sergeant at the Michigan State Police 6th District Headquarters, Special Investigative Unit, Fire Investigation Sub-Unit. In 2005 he deployed to Iraq with the 557th Red Horse squadron in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served as the Engineering Superintendent for the squadron. From March 2012 to February 2013 Chief Slater was the Chief of Operations for the 110th Civil Engineer Squadron. In February 2013 Chief Slater was appointed as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 110th Attack Wing. Chief Master Sergeant Slater and his wife, Kari, currently live in the Allendale, MI area with their son Trever.
