Post 9-11 GI BILL!

PROCESS CHANGE: Effective immediately the process for ANG TEB approval has changed to reflect the following:

Members are required to apply for Post 9/11 GI Bill eligibility and receive the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) prior to submitting the TEB (transfer of eligibility) request.

When Post 9/11 eligibility has been determined by the VA, members may then apply for TEB.

Members must submit a copy of a COE and SOU to their Retention Office Manager for processing.

1. VA Certificate of Eligibility (COE)-VA will send to you once you've applied for the Post 9-11 GI BILL

2. TEB Statement of Understanding (SOU) - Retention Office Manager will submit to you for signature once you've applied for the transfer of benefits.

Requests that are missing documentation will remain in "pending" status for 90 days, or until all documents are received, whichever comes first.

This is also mandatory for members who are separating or retiring. NGB/A1YR will coordinate directly with members who have already separate/retired.

TEMPORARY CHANGE: Due to the issues members have experienced using the new transfer of benefits website (milconnect), the old TEB website (https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/TEB/) is temporarily back up for members to submit their TEB request.

With the use of the old website, members can print a copy of their approval letter.
